Frequently Asked Questions

How do you clean a Gotland sheepskin?
Spot clean only. Avoid soaking or machine washing. Use baking soda for light messes, then gently brush. For deeper cleaning, use diluted wool shampoo on the fleece only. Dry quickly—no direct heat or sun. Check out our sheepskin care page for more information.
What’s special about Gotland fleece?
It’s naturally curly, silky, and comes from a heritage breed. It has a flowing, elegant texture and a magical, storybook feel that’s different from traditional sheepskin.
ABOUT OUR NATURAL SHEEPSKIN Banner Image

ABOUT OUR NATURAL SHEEPSKIN

Our sheepskin is sourced from free-range sheep raised in the mountains of Europe by small, family-run farms. We work closely with skilled artisans who have spent generations preserving the ancient craft of working with sheepskin—an art passed down through families and honored through careful, hands-on making. Our hides remain naturally lanolin-rich, unlike many sheepskins on the market that are stripped during industrial tanning processes. This is the result of a traditional, gentle tanning method that protects the fiber’s natural structure and the restorative qualities that make sheepskin feel so uniquely calming.
